A twelve-month programme for law graduates preparing for civil judge (junior division) examinations, with particular depth on the Punjab and Himachal Pradesh judiciaries. Preliminary objective papers, descriptive mains, and the interview — with the state-specific enactments for the cadre you are targeting.
| Stage | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Preliminary | Objective questions across the substantive and procedural laws, the Constitution, and general knowledge with reasoning and aptitude. Emphasis on precise section recall, provisos and exceptions — achieved through daily bare-act practice. |
| Mains — substantive | Constitution · Contract · Torts · Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita · Transfer of Property · Specific Relief Act · Hindu and Muslim personal law · Partnership · Sale of Goods · Easements. |
| Mains — procedural | Civil Procedure Code · Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita · Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam · Limitation Act · Registration Act · Court Fees and Suits Valuation. |
| Mains — local & special laws | State rent-control legislation, land-revenue and tenancy codes, municipal and excise laws, motor vehicles, negotiable instruments — selected to the cadre you are targeting. |
| Practical papers | Framing of issues and charges, judgment and order writing, translation between English and the regional language, and précis. Every submission is marked against the examining body's own scheme. |
| Viva voce | Mock interviews before a panel including a retired judicial officer; current legal affairs; questions on your dissertation, internships and home state. |
Officer-level legal recruitment run by the Union Public Service Commission and by public-sector organisations directly — for law graduates who want to work as a prosecutor, a legal officer, or in-house counsel rather than argue matters in court every day.
Interview guidance for legal-officer roles at public-sector undertakings, law firms and corporate in-house teams — resume positioning, technical rounds and negotiation on compensation.
Coaching is run as its own arm of Anand Legal Services, with its own faculty, calendar and test series — while sitting inside a working legal practice.
That matters more than it sounds. The person teaching you a section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita drafts contracts in the afternoon and appears in court in the morning, so the principle on the screen arrives with the case that made it. It is also why we can tell you honestly what the profession is like once the exam is behind you.

Most of the syllabus is central law, common to every state examination. What differs is the local statutes and the compulsory language paper — and that is where candidates working from a generic course lose marks. We publish the detail for the two cadres we teach in depth.
