Scholarship

The ALS Academy Merit & Access Scholarship

A single written test, held twice a year, that can reduce your fee by up to the whole of it. Merit and need are assessed separately, so a strong candidate who cannot pay is not competing against one who can.

Next test: 29 June · Online, 9.30 am · Duration 90 minutes · Free to attempt · Results in five working days.

Questions

Before you enroll

Yes. Judicial services examinations and UPSC ORA / law officer roles require a law degree, and most cadres also require enrolment as an advocate with the State Bar Council by the time you are appointed. Final-year LL.B. students are welcome to join in advance of their result.

Law school teaches you to understand the law; these examinations test whether you can recall it precisely, apply it under time pressure, and write a marks-scoring answer. We drill the exam skill specifically — bare-act recall, structured answer-writing, and interview presence — rather than re-teaching the subject from scratch.

Live on Zoom or Google Meet, at the times published in the batch calendar, with cameras expected on and the batch capped at 24 so every student is called on. Class links go out before each session and recordings stay available for seven days if you miss one. Printed modules are couriered to your address; test series, mentoring and doubt hours all run on the same platform.

Most of our cohort is in Delhi and NCR, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and across North India. Because every class is online, we also take candidates from anywhere in the country who are preparing specifically for the Punjab or Himachal Pradesh judicial services.

You can join before your final results — most of our current cohort is in exactly that position. Just note that formal enrolment with certain cadres requires your degree in hand, which we will help you track against your batch's admission timeline.

Yes. The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam came into force on 1 July 2024. Because examinations are still transitioning, we teach the new scheme alongside the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act, with a section-mapping table between them.

Ask us for the refund policy in writing before you pay the first instalment. We will send it to you, and it forms part of your enrolment terms — so you have the notice period and the refundable proportion at each stage on record from the outset.

Yes. We help you track notifications, complete the online application (DAF) correctly, and prepare the document set each cadre asks for — a surprising number of otherwise-qualified candidates lose time to a rejected or incomplete form.
